When it comes to a new Multiple Sclerosis treatment such as the one for CCSVI, there are only a few places that offer it. The CCSVI Foundation, a nonprofit MS patient advocacy organization, has made it its mission to help MS patients in being diagnosed for CCSVI and to obtain treatment for it.
The way treatment for this ailment usually happens is through a procedure where a balloon is inflated inside the affected vein or veins, or an alternate procedure where stents are inserted in narrow or deformed veins. These procedures are used to improve blood flow out of the brain and to the heart. Even though this treatment for CCSVI in MS patients has not been approved yet, it is out there.
